A group from Hamilton joined an Idle No More protest in Cayuga this morning.

About 60 people were at the Cayuga courthouse to support a Six Nations member who was in court. Theresa Jamieson was arrested following an incident at a demonstration last February. She was arrested after protesting the presence of Gary McHale on First Nations land and charged with assault with a weapon. McHale was at the hearing and says he was a victim in the charges.

At 3 pm this afternoon, local organizers say there will be a walk in Niagara Falls, from the area of Stanley Avenue and Highway 420 to the bottom of Clifton Hill.

Protestors are also conducting a rolling blockade on the 401 leading up to the Ambassador Bridge between Windsor and Detroit.
