Idle No More protest in Hamilton

Dozens of “Idle No More” protestors gathered at Jackson Square in Hamilton at noon Monday as part of a planned global day of action.

Demonstrators were expected to perform a round dance flash mob in the food court. Meanwhile, more than 300 activists are at Parliament Hill.

Over 30 cities across Canada are expected to participate in the demonstrations. The activists are taking a stand in solidarity for indigenous people’s land and rights and are pushing for reform on the governments policy towards aboriginals.
