The marches and protests spread from Russia to the rest of the world as supporters converged to remember Boris Nemtsov and what he stood for.

A couple hundred people marched in Toronto on Sunday, starting at Nathan Phillip Square and walking to the Russian consulate.

Many protesters held images of Boris Nemtsov.

Foreign affairs minister Rob Nicholson says he doesn’t know who is responsible in the shooting, but the marches prove Russians are worried about their leader.

On Monday Nicholson will talk to his French counterpart about Ukraine as well as crises in Iraq and Syria.
