Hot Trailer // The Hobbit: The Battle of The Five Armies

One last trailer has been released for this winter’s ultimate entry in Peter Jackson’s 3-part adaptation of J. R. R. Tolkein’s The Hobbit. The trailer gives us a look at the eponymous armies including the dwarves, elves, men, goblins, and the eagles that are bound to swoop in near the end and save the day. Jackson recently told EW that the film will end with a 45-minute action sequence – a frenzied ballet so extensive that he had to draw out battle plans on pieces of paper to keep it all organized. Even though the ending is a far cry from the classic book’s epilogue, fans will likely turn out in droves to see how Jackson’s epic vision wraps up.

The Hobbit: The Battle of The Five Armies hits theatres in digital, 3D, and IMAX formats on December 17.
