Honouring Nathan Cirillo

Corporal Nathan Cirillo’s death was felt by people across the country and especially by those in his hometown of Hamilton.

In the days following, the Armouries on James Street North became home to an incredible memorial. In the days after his death the sidewalk in front of the Armoury was filled with flowers, cards and notes and hundreds of people stopped here to pay their respects to Hamilton’s fallen soldier.

When it came time to take down the memorial, soldiers catalogued everything with digital pictures.
