All of the evidence has now been heard in a trial of three people accused of killing four members of their family.

The last witness testified Wednesday for the defence in the Shafia family trial in Kingston.

Mohammad Shafia, his wife and their son are on trial and have each pleaded not guilty to four counts of first-degree murder.

They’re accused of killing the Shafia sisters, as well as Shafia’s first wife in a polygamous marriage.

Their bodies were found in a car submerged in the Rideau Canal in Kingston in June of 2009.

CHCH reporter Cristina Tenaglia will be in Kingston on Monday to report on closing arguments.
