After a few minor misses and a short hiatus, Pixar returned to form with Inside Out which is now being considered a dark horse for a Best Picture Oscar. There’s plenty of bonus content on the blu-ray release including:

  • Two short films: Lava and Riley’s First Date.
  • Seven featurettes detailing the film’s development, animation, score, and more.
  • Four deleted scenes.
  • Audio commentary from directors Pete Docter and Ronnie del Carmen, and producer Jonas Rivera.

Author Gillian Flynn has only published three novels, but all three have been or are in the process of being adapted for the screen. Of the two already released, Gone Girl was the big hit, and Dark Places was the big miss. The home video release only features a few extras:

  • Bringing Dark Places to Light, featuring interviews with cast and crew.
  • About the Author: Gillian Flynn and Dark Places.

She’s Funny That Way

Odds are you didn’t hear much about this film. That’s because it only got a limited release in theatres before heading to VOD platforms. With a 38% on Rotten Tomatoes, you probably didn’t miss much. The small amount of extras include:

  • Commentary with Co-Writer/Director Peter Bogdanovich and Co-Writer/Producer Louise Stratten.
  • “Behind the Scenes of She’s Funny That Way” Featurette.
