Holiday closures

As many make final preparations for Christmas, a reminder that the holidays mean many services won’t be available.

Government offices, libraries, banks, the LCBO and Beer Stores will all close early today, and will remain closed tomorrow and Thursday. Most malls and other stores are also closed tomorrow before the Boxing Day rush.

There will be no mail delivery until Friday, but electricity will be at the off-peak rate all day tomorrow and Boxing Day. In most areas, garbage and recycling collection are delayed a day the rest of the week.

As you run around trying to get everything on your Christmas list crossed off, keep in mind that GO Transit will offer early homebound service this afternoon for people getting out of work early. Transit systems will be running on Sunday and holiday schedules tomorrow and Boxing Day.
