High winds and no power

Winds gusting up to 70 kilometeres an hour Saturday leaving some families with no power in the Stoney Creek area. Ken Potter lives on a waterfront property and woke up to a flooded basement. The Hamilton Police Marine Unit said they’ve recorded waves as high as three meters tall and Horizon Utilities said that the high winds knocked out power to just under one thousand customers and 350 in this Stoney Creek community but the remaining 250 customers in Stoney Creek without power will have it restored by 8pm.
