OPP clears heavy police presence in Simcoe, Norfolk County

Ontario Provincial Police reported an increased police presence in Simcoe, Norfolk County Wednesday morning.

Officers say at around 3:47 a.m. Norfolk County OPP, the West Region OPP Canine Unit and emergency crews responded to an address on Nixon Road as part of an active investigation.

There are currently no road closures in effect.

Police say there will be an increased police presence on Nixon Road between Windham Road 14 and Highway 3.

OPP posted on X just after 7:16 a.m. that the increased police presence cleared from the area.
