Health officials waiting to see if blue-green algae killed a dog in Niagara

A routine swim in Lake Ontario turned into a nightmare for a Niagara-on-the-Lake family.

Their dog died suddenly, after potentially ingesting a deadly bacteria in the water called “blue-green algae.”
