A 29-year-old Hamilton man is dead after a Ford F-150 which was travelling in the wrong direction hit the Nissan head on; on the 403 near Waterdown Road, early Saturday Morning. The 35 year old truck driver, Ricardo Cabral, is facing numerous charges related to drunk driving and drunk driving causing death and is being held in custody while he awaits bail court in Milton on Monday. Ricardo Cabral only suffered minor injuries. The driver of the Nissan was pronounced dead at the scene, and his passenger, a 20-year-old woman, was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of a third vehicle was unhurt.This comes as a reminder for all drivers this long weekend that police will be out on the roads as part of a safety blitz and they are urging motorists to be safe and make good decisions.
