Hammer-wielding man robs Oshawa pharmacy

A 45-year-old man has been taken into custody after he allegedly robbed an Oshawa pharmacy on Wednesday.
Police say a man armed with a hammer walked into the Remedy’s RX Pharmacy on King St. East around 10 a.m. and made demands for narcotics.
The man fled the store empty-handed and was arrested by officers who were in the area at the time.
No one was hurt during the incident.
A woman was also taken into custody at the scene but police later determined she was not involved in the robbery.
Jessie Power has been charged with robbery, disguise with intent and possession of weapon to commit an offence.
