On the second Friday of every month, James Street North is transformed into a celebration of art, music and food for Art Crawl.
The event kicks off tonight and happens on the second Friday of every month from May to October. A portion of the street is closed to cars between York Boulevard and Murray Street to create a pedestrian-only street festival.
The fun part about Art Crawl is that there are no strict rules or schedules. This means anyone who likes to express themselves through art, music or any other medium can come down for free to do just that.
People started setting up around 5 p.m. this afternoon.
Art Crawl will run until late tonight. There is plenty to see, with performers and vendors flooding the street. Visitors can support local talent, and the businesses that call James Street North home all year round are also open for people to check out.
