Survey says Hamilton a top city to visit in 2018

Hamilton has made an Expedia list of top 18 cities to visit in 2018.

The travel website surveyed 1,000 Canadians and asked them what city they’d recommend to fellow travellers.

The Hammer was recommended for its shorelines, festivals and food.

In 2018, visitors and residents have lots of options when it comes to what to do.

The Around the Bay 30K Road Race returns for its 124th year. With the first race in 1894, it’s one of the oldest runs in North America and predates the Boston Marathon by three years.

Craft breweries have become a big part of the city. In 2018, follow the True Brew Path for a sampling of some award-winning brews and delicious food.

Country Music Week and the Canadian Country Music Awards come to town Sept. 6-9.

Some of the other Canadian cities on the top 18 list include Squamish B.C., Cavendish, P.E.I. and Fredericton, N.B.
