Hamilton’s own Tiki Bell has signed his letter of intent to play college football at Utah State University.

The 18-year-old defensive tackle says growing up in Rockton he started playing football in the yard with his family at a very young age, transitioning to the junior Ticats team nearly 10 years ago.

He currently plays at a high school in Virginia, and committed to Utah State around six months ago.

Officially signing on the dotted line this week, Bell and his dad — former Ticats draft pick and Argos player Curtis Bell — are excited and grateful to see all the hard work pay off, saying they take it just one day at a time.

Utah State University posted on X Wednesday just after 9 a.m., welcoming Bell to Cache Valley in northern Utah.

Bell will be heading to Utah in the new year, with training and classes for his business management degree beginning Jan. 5.

He isn’t the only “Bell” to keep an eye on: his older brother Darius is finishing up his college career at East Carolina University, and is currently number 13 on the Canadian Football League’s list of top prospects, making it very likely he’ll be drafted in the spring.
