Hamilton, surrounding areas under heat warning for the weekend, Environment Canada reports

Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for Hamilton, Halton, Brant, Niagara, Haldimand and Norfolk.

The heat warning will be in effect from Saturday morning into Sunday.

Temperatures will be in the low 30s but humidex will have it feeling closer to 40.

Environment Canada advises drinking lots of water and not participating in outdoor activities until the coolest parts of the day.
