A Hamilton dentist and father of two is taking the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board to court.

Steve Tourloukis is demanding the right to be notified on lessons that may contradict his Christian beliefs.


Tourloukis has requested religious accommodation since September 2010. He wants teachers to give him lesson plans in advance, so he can ensure his children aren’t being taught things that go against his beliefs. He’s not looking for money or an apology – just the same accommodations given to other religious groups.
