Hamilton police seize cocaine, orange fentanyl in downtown arrest

Hamilton police have charged a 34-year-old Hamilton man Tuesday who they say was in possession of orange, rock fentanyl and crack cocaine.

Officers say during a foot patrol in the area of Vine Street when they came across a man who was allegedly openly consuming illegal drugs in an alleyway.

Detectives say further investigation revealed Franklin Lewis from Hamilton was in possession of over 60 grams of orange, rock fentanyl and over 30 grams of crack cocaine.

Police have charged Lewis with offences related to possessing fentanyl and cocaine, and two counts of failing to comply with probation.
