Hamilton police seeking witnesses to Stoney Creek shooting

Hamilton police are asking anyone who may have witnessed a Feb. 26 shooting in Stoney Creek to come forward with information.

Police were called to the corner of Barton Street East and Jones Road following reports of a shooting involving two vehicles shortly after 9:30 p.m. Thursday.

Officers learned from a witness at the scene that two cars were involved in a collision, which ended in gunfire.

Both vehicles are believed to have fled toward the Niagara Region. Hamilton police have not yet released a description of those vehicles.

Officers did not find anyone injured at the scene.

As the investigation continues, police say they are seeking potential witnesses and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
