Hamilton police say landfill search in Shalini Singh investigation has concluded

Hamilton police say that their search for Shalini Singh’s remains at the Glanbrook Landfill has concluded.
Since February 24, police have been searching the site for any evidence of her disappearance.
On May 21, police located partial human remains within their search area. DNA analysis determined they belonged to Shalini.
Jeffery Smith, Singh’s common-law boyfriend, was arrested and charged with second degree murder and indignity to human remains on June 20.
At this time, Hamilton police say they have no information that supports a continued search of the landfill site, and no indications that other areas ought to be searched.
Anyone with additional information that might assist with further investigation is asked to contact police at 905-546-3859.
