Hamilton police offer $50K reward in 2020 murder of Giorgio Barresi

Hamilton police are offering a $50,000 reward to solve the 2020 murder of a father of three in Stoney Creek.

Giorgio Barresi, 42, was shot and killed in the driveway of his home on Portofino Place on Mar. 2, 2020 while his wife and children were inside.

Police say they believe the murder was planned. They say those responsible were aware of Barresi’s routine and were parked in a light-coloured sedan at the end of his street waiting for him to return.

Investigators still don’t know why Barresi was targeted.

They are offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
