Hamilton police looking to identify two suspects in west-end shooting

Hamilton police are appealing to the public in identifying two cars suspected to be involved in a parking lot shooting on Tuesday night.

Officers say on the evening of Dec. 16 around 9:55 p.m., police were called to the lot at 160 Main St. West near Caroline St. South following reports of gun shots.

Investigators say both cars entered the parking lot and circled the area and one car discharged a firearm at the other before both vehicles fled the scene.

Officers located spent bullet casings and the area was secured for further investigation.

No injuries have been reported, no damage has been identified and no victim or intended target has come forward.

Detectives are urging the intended target or anyone with direct knowledge of this incident to contact police.

Hamilton Police Service is asking anyone who may have information about this incident or who can help identify the vehicles or individuals involved, to contact investigators.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the on-duty Division 10 Staff Sergeant at 905-546-4725.
