Hamilton police issue warrant for man with ‘history of violence’

An arrest warrant has been issued for a 26-year-old man who police say is a “high-risk offender with a history of violence.”

Rafael Eliseo Bonilla is wanted for a slew of charges in connection with a criminal investigation in July 2021. The charges include multiple counts of assault, forcible confinement, utter threats and fail to comply with release order.

Police say Bonilla has ties to the Hamilton and Niagara areas.

If he is seen, police are asking members of the public not to approach him but call 911 instead.

Bonilla is described as being five-foot-eight and roughly 240 lbs.
