Hamilton police investigating random assault near Paramount Park

Hamilton police are investigating what they believe to be a random assault that took place near Paramount Park.

Police say that they received a report of an assault early Thursday morning. The victim was alone in the area of Paramount Park and was attacked by an unknown person.

Investigators believe the attack was unprovoked and random.

Officers are asking community members to check their home surveillance or dash cam footage for any suspicious activity between June 25 at 11 p.m. to June 26 around 1 a.m.
