Someone went on a rampage early Tuesday morning, destroying 17 HSR bus shelters throughout the city of Hamilton, from the West Mountain all the way to Barton and Frederick.

Surveillance video show a bus shelter glass shattering as a black truck drives by at around 3:18 Tuesday morning.

“It’s a disservice to our customers, this is something they depend on to have a safe place to wait for their bus to arrive, and now it’s out of service and a potential safety hazard.” Mark Williams, HSR Manager.

A company called Outfront Media is contracted by the city to maintain the bus shelters, they are the ones that will be cleaning up and replacing the glass. Each glass pane ranges anywhere from $300- $1000.

The bus shelters should be fixed by the end of the week.
