Hamilton police investigate assault of elderly man in city’s east end

Hamilton police are looking into the assault of an elderly man during a September afternoon, in the east end of Hamilton.

Officers say they responded to information of an assault at an apartment complex in the area of 70 Jerome Crescent Sept. 2, at around 4 p.m.

Investigators learned that an elderly male was allegedly assaulted by an unknown male in the apartment’s parking lot before fleeing the area on an E-bike.

Local residents came to the elderly man’s assistance until emergency services arrived.

The elderly man was reported to have sustained serious injuries from the attack.

Police are describing the suspect as a white man with a medium build, between the ages of 40 and 50 years old and had grey and white short hair.

He was was seen wearing blue jeans, a black t-shirt and white running shoes.
