Hamilton police continue to investigate targeted shooting

Hamilton police are investigating after a woman showed up at a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police were called to Juravinski Hospital around 8 p.m. Saturday after the victim arrived with non-life threatening injuries. She was treated and later released.

The investigation led police to a home in the area of Upper Gage Ave. and Loconder Dr.

When officers arrived on scene, they discovered evidence consistent with a shooting.

Investigators believe this was a targeted incident.
