Hamilton police arrest teenager connected to October shooting

Hamilton police have arrested a 17-year-old connected to a shooting in the area of Grays Road in Hamilton back in October.

A tenant at 288 Grays Rd. found a bullet lodged in his home on Oct. 24 and reported it to police.

Officers say they then began an investigation to identify the person responsible.

Investigators executed a search warrant Thursday at a home in the area of King Street and Sherman Avenue.

Detectives say as a result of the search, they recovered a firearm and arrested a teenager.

The teenager is facing two counts of possessing a loaded prohibited firearm, two counts of knowing it was illegal to have them, criminal negligence and one count of careless use of a firearm.
