Hamilton police arrest man, woman connected to shooting near Ashley Street

Hamilton police have arrested two people in connection with a shooting that happened two weeks ago near Ashley Street and King St. East in Hamilton.

Officers say at just after midnight on Sept. 17, shell casings and a small amount of blood was found on the sidewalk in front of 627 King St. East.

Investigators arrested 38-year-old Tyrone Walker of Toronto, and 22-year-old Tasia Kingsley of Hamilton for their alleged involvement in the shooting.

They are each facing charges including: discharging a firearm with intent, reckless firing of a firearm and possessing a loaded prohibited firearm.

Detectives are still looking to speak with the person they believe to have been the intended target of the shooting, who they say was also involved in an altercation prior to the incident.

Police are urging this person to come forward to speak with investigators.

This is Hamilton’s 27th recorded shooting this year.
