Police say they received reports of four robberies on Jan. 31, 2025, between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. that occurred in the areas of Centre Mall, Cochrane Road, Queenston Road and Britannia Avenue.
Investigators say at each robbery someone allegedly tried to steal victims’ vehicles by demanding their keys, threatening violence and in one robbery, by brandishing a weapon.
Officers say the man successfully stole one vehicle, which was later recovered at a central Hamilton location.
As a result of an investigation, detectives identified and charged 24-year-old Cody Atkinson from Hamilton.
Atkinson was charged with offences including robbery, breaches of probation, and motor vehicle theft.
