Hamilton McDonald’s employee tests positive for COVID-19

An employee at a McDonalds on Rymal Road in Hamilton has tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a media release, the employee worked their last shift at 20 Rymal Rd. E on Aug. 31 from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m on Sept. 1.

McDonald’s has made the decision to shut down the restaurant to be sanitized by a certified third party.

The release says co-workers who may have been in contact with the employee have been asked to self-quarantine until further notice.

Guests who visited the restaurant on Aug. 31 have been asked to follow the directions of Ontario Public Health.
