Hamilton man charged in sexual assault of unsuspecting victims

Hamilton police have arrested a man following an investigation related to multiple sexual assaults of unsuspecting women.

After authorities were alerted about the assaults, an investigation was launched which resulted in the arrest of 36-year-old Bryan Hayward.

Hayward has been charged with the following offences:

  • Sexual Assault
  • Administer Noxious Substance
  • Voyeurism
  • Distribution of Intimate Images
  • Assault with a Weapon
  • Operation of a Motor Vehicle while Prohibited
  • Fail to Comply Probation (x2)
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance- Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Schedule I Substance- GHB
  • Possession of Schedule I Substance- Hydromorphone
  • Possession of Schedule IV Substance- Clonazepam

Investigators say Hayward is a five-foot-ten white male, approximately 180 lbs, has a medium build, brown hair, and an amputation to his left hand.

Hayward is believed to have been administering a noxious substance to victims before sexually assaulting them.

Officers believe he may have contacted victims through online dating sites. There may be more victims who are unaware that they were assaulted.
