Hamilton man charged with attempted murder in motor vehicle collision

Hamilton police are asking for the public’s help in the attempted murder arrest of a man responsible for seriously injuring a woman in a motor vehicle collision early March.
Shortly before 11:30 p.m. on March 9 police responded to a collision at the intersection of Beach Road and Woodleigh Avenue in Hamilton in which a woman was stuck by a vehicle.
She was transported to hospital in serious condition.
The driver of the vehicle has since been identified as a 44-year-old Hamilton man. He was arrested on March 15 at a residence in the Halton region and charged with attempted murder, dangerous driving causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm.
The man has been held for bail, and he remains in custody pending a hearing.
Investigators are asking homeowners and drivers who were in the area at the time of the incident to check their home and dash cameras for footage related to the incident.
