Hamilton man charged after Brantford police seize $29K in magic mushrooms

A Hamilton man is facing drug trafficking charges after his Brantford storefront was searched and $29,674 worth of magic mushrooms was seized.
The Brantford Police Service drug and firearm enforcement unit opened the investigation on June 18, when they were informed that a previously shut down Brantford business had reopened.
Police obtained a search warrant for the storefront and seized 2596.5 grams of psilocybin (magic mushrooms) worth around $29,000 in street value.
The search warrant was performed on July 2 on Murray Street near Chatham Street in Brantford.
The 28-year old man has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.
