Niagara police identify woman’s body found at Charles Daley Park, suspect believed to have fled country

Niagara police have identified the woman who was found dead at Charles Daley Park in Lincoln, Ont. on Tuesday, and have released information about a possible suspect in her killing.

In a statement released Friday afternoon, investigators confirmed the victim’s identity as 27-year-old Amanpreet Saini of North York.

Investigators have also identified a suspect in the case 27-year-old Manpreet Singh of Brampton, who is believed to have fled the country shortly after Saini’s body was discovered.

Police say Singh is wanted for second-degree murder.

Detectives believe the incident was targeted, and there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
