After winning the Ontario Canadian Junior Football League championship last weekend, the Hamilton Hurricanes traveled to B.C. for a national semifinal against the Langley Rams Saturday night. The Hurricanes played without head coach Jason Hayes, who stayed in Calgary after the team’s layover because a player needed emergency surgery for a large kidney stone.

Hamilton lost to Langley 39-14, their first defeat of the season after going 10-0 in Ontario.
