Hamilton holiday market changes shopping experience

Local holiday markets have popped up with the intention to change holiday shopping from rushed and stressful to relaxed and enjoyable.

The second annual Sugar and Spice Holiday Market in Hamilton hosted at the Spice Factory offered a different shopping experience with live music, unique and handmade products, as well as an alcoholic bar. Local businesses showcased their products including jewellery, all-natural soaps and make up, winter accessories, baked goods and foods.

The event also allotted 10 percent of their sales to a local charity. Organizers have another charitable holiday event at the Spice Factory on Dec. 10 called The Santa Cause.
