While the New Democrats are positioning themselves as the party to pick to topple the Tories in the riding of Hamilton East Stoney Creek. The NDP are the incumbent and they’re looking to keep a firm grip on power but they face a newcomer and a former Hamilton Mayor.

Wayne Marston has been the MP for Hamilton East Stony Creek since 2006, the same amount of time that Stephen Harper has been Prime Minister. He has firm competition from former mayor Bob Bratina who is running for the Liberals and Diane Bubanko for the Conservatives.
