Residents in Hamilton heading out for their morning commute Wednesday are warned of a fog advisory for the area.

Environment Canada says the Hamilton Mountain is mainly the area facing the foggy conditions.

Drivers are encouraged to be cautious as visibility can lessen to near zero in the fog.

Northeast wind gusting this morning as well at 40 km/h is expected to become 60 km/h later.

Environment Canada says the fog is expected to lift late this morning or early afternoon.
