Hamilton faced waste pickup delay Tuesday due to snow hills

The City of Hamilton says waste collection was delayed Tuesday as crews continue to try to clear roads and sidewalks of snow.

The city posted on X at around 6:25 p.m. Tuesday that waste collecting vehicles have been unable to pick up all the waste put out due to the impacts of the Significant Weather Event.

Residents who had waste that was not accessible to collection operators, on or behind a snowbank, are being asked to bring their waste in and place it back out next week on their collection day.

The City of Hamilton Waste Management crews will continue to pick-up waste this week as part of its regular operations.

They are also asking residents of buildings to contact the city if their large dumpster or recycling carts have not been collected yet.
