Hamilton and Niagara write investment playbook

Hamilton and Niagara have teamed up to create The Americas Investment Playbook.

The playbook is a program that works at optimizing business opportunities during the Pan Am games. No other region associated with the sporting event has developed anything like this.

Jennifer Patterson of the city of Hamilton told CHCH News the goal is to try and get more investment opportunities in this region, rather than having all the focus on the GTA.

“The idea is to accomplish is to generate foreign investment, opportunity and profile for this region and as a viable region for investment for other businesses to come and locate.”

“Another piece is the legacy piece, so this program won’t stop following the games but it will continue on, it’s about developing relationships and networks that we can keep developing as we go forward into the future.”

Patterson says they’ve had interest from Pan-American countries, the U.S., Europe, Asia and parts of India.
