Halton police seek man involved in Oakville home invasion robbery

Halton police are asking community help identifying a man suspected to be involved in a home invasion robbery in Oakville in July.

Officers say at around 9 a.m. on July 21, a man had entered the window of a home in the area of Kerr Street and Speers Road.

Once inside the house, the man allegedly confronted an adult inside and brandished a knife while demanding cash.

The man left the home after he was given a small amount of money.

Detectives say the resident was not physically harmed.

Officers are looking for a man in his early to mid 20s, with a heavy build and medium-length dark hair.

He was last seen wearing a long sleeve black shirt, black shorts, and white sneakers.

Investigators say the man is believed to be familiar with the transit system.
