Halton police arrest man after girl assaulted at Appleby GO station
Halton Regional police have arrested and charged a man after a girl was sexually assaulted Thursday evening in Burlington.
Officers say at around 9:30 p.m. a man had allegedly put his hands on a girl who was sitting in the waiting area of the train station on Fairview Street multiple times.
The girl was able to get away from the man and contact police soon after.
Investigators say they arrived at the transit station later that evening and arrested 67-year-old Donald Rogers who has no fixed address.
Police have charged Rogers with one count of sexual assault.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police or the Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit.
