Police have charged a 27-year-old Grimsby man with child pornography-related offences following an investigation that began last month.

In April, officers opened the case into the sexual exploitation of children.

Investigators arrested and charged Brandon James Muhlbeier on Wednesday. He is facing one count each of possession of child pornography and accessing child pornography.

Muhlbeier is scheduled to appear in a St. Catharines court Wednesday for a bail hearing.
