Production crews are in Hamilton shooting parts of GOON: Last of the Enforcers, a sequel to the 2011 comedy about a hockey enforcer.

Some scenes were shot today at Hamilton’s landmark Corktown Irish pub on Young street.

GOON: Last of the Enforcers is written and directed by Canadian Jay Baruchel who also stars with Sean William Scott, Elisha Cuthbert, and Liev Scheiber.
There is no release date, but it is slated to come out in 2016.

The original GOON premiered at the Toronto International Film festival in 2011, and while it didn’t make a huge impact on the box office, grossing only $7 million worldwide, it gained a following after its debut on DVD and streaming services like Netflix.

The city’s diverse streetscapes and variety of character buildings have attracted several movie and TV shoots.
