Goat dead, teen pedestrian injured after single-vehicle crash: OPP

Ontario Provincial Police say a goat is dead and a teenager is injured after being struck by a vehicle last night in Caledonia.

The single-vehicle collision happened shortly before 10 p.m. Thursday on Sixth Line just west of Argyle St. South.

Officers said a 16-year-old pedestrian was trying to move the goat off of the road when a vehicle hit them.

The teenager was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, while the goat was pronounced dead in a ditch near the road.

OPP said the driver of the vehicle was not injured.
