GO stations have charging stations

The GO station in Oakville now has a charge station for electric vehicles.
It’s a pilot project that’s the first of its kind in Ontario. Any driver with an electric vehicle can use the station. But it will come at a cost. A charging session is $2.50 and users have the option of paying with a credit card or a chargepoint smart card. The announcement was made by Metrolinx Wednesday which is the government agency tasked with improving all modes of transportation in the GTA and Hamilton area. The first phase of this pilot project is taking place at five GO stations; Aurora, Centennial, Lincolnville, Whitby and Oakville. Phase two starts in 2014 in Ajax, Clarkson, Erindale, Pickering and Burlington. The pilot is expected to last about three years.
