An U.S. arrest warrant is out for former Hamilton Tiger-Cat Jordan Matechuk.

He was arrested at the border in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan. Police say he was trying to bring illegal steroids acorss the border. Al Sweeney has the latest on this story, and its impact on the team.

The CFL says the arrest of Matechuk in the U.S. validates their new steroid testing program. As for Matechuk, he’s facing more trouble. He was supposed to be back in court in Sault Ste Marie Michigan on Monday. But the local prosecutor says Matechuk didn’t show up and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

There’s no sign of Matechuk. And a member of his family in his home province of Saskatchewan Wednesday didn’t know where he is.
