Police have charged a 37-year-old man following an armed robbery at an Acton variety store last month.
Officers say the incident happened shortly before 11 a.m. on Jan. 16 at the Acton Discount Variety located at 5 John St. South.
Investigators say the man pointed a handgun at an employee and demanded cash. However, the man fled the scene without receiving any money.

No one was injured as a result of the armed robbery.
On Monday, police carried out a search warrant on Victoria St. in Georgetown, where they arrested and charged Christopher Dayfoot with robbery and disguise with intent.
Officers say the handgun used in the robbery was not recovered.
